Hey there! So my sporadic posting continues. BUT, I'm back with another one!

This past Memorial Day weekend was quite the boring one for me. Turns out, always listen to your parents because they're always right. They told me I should go home upstate and hang out, but of course I didn't listen. Instead I watched a LOT of old ER episodes online and cleaned my apartment because it really is true that EVERYONE leaves the city on holiday weekends. Like, everyone.

Luckily, my amazing cousin and blog photographer lately came back on Monday (just in time for BACHELORETTE night. All I need is wine and that show and my night is made. Seriously). So we took our favorite furry friend, Baxter, for a walk and little photoshoot before our girly festivities. He really is the best photoshoot prop isn't he?

Oh also, Gap has such cute tshirts right now. I'm loving this hot pink checked one for the summer!

Quote of the Week

I've been playing around a lot lately (if you haven't noticed little tweaks to graphics, the blog header, collages, etc) with graphic design lately and I think I'm loving it.

Another thing that I've always been drawn to is quotes. For some reason sometimes a block of words really resonates with me and back before the time of pinterest, I had an entire email folder with different quotes I found on the interwebs that I would email to myself. Now, my "Words I Like" board seems to be one of my most popular, so I have a feeling others feel the same as I do about quotes.

I decided to try and have more structure on this little blog so every Monday I'll be working on my design and photography skills by combining quotes I like and photographs I take. 

I've been reminding myself of this phrase lately and have been taking even more walks than usual to try and get my head on straight. Work in progress :)

Help!

I need some help people. Mainly, what the heck I'm doing with this little blog of mine. I love having this blog as a fun little side project to write and share all of the cool things, companies, products and clothes that I come across during my ample time online and my obsessive social media consumption. HOWEVER, lately I've felt a little lost. I'm sure you've noticed my sporadic posting. Part of this is due to me just being lazy after many hours staring at a computer all day. The other part is pretty much lack of direction. I know what I like to talk about, but I want to know what YOU my friends want to see. I've dabbled in a variety of posts, from DIYs to recipes to random companies and websites I like, to my most recent foray into outfit posts (that was a scary one). After this past weekend talking to a lot of younger girls at my college, I thought doing some posts of the "After College" type might be warranted. Aka, career and living-in-Manhattan insights. Basically, tell me what you want to see people! To get inside all your heads, I made this handy-dandy super quick survey below. I'd REALLY appreciate it if you filled it out! Spring Has Sprung

 

Hey friends, short post today. A few weeks ago I took a walk to my favorite place in the city, Central Park to check out the spring loveliness happening. It was a perfect day. I took my camera and a coffee and just took an afternoon stroll. 

There really are few things that make me happier than blue skies, spring temperatures, blooming flowers and sunshine.

Turning 25.

Hi friends! Sorry for the prolonged absence once again, but I come to you with an outfit post!

I've been hesitant to do one of these because well, it's kinda weird thinking "hey, I like my outfit, I'm sure my 5 readers want to see it too!". But, I'm trying to follow the "why not?" mantra this year so here goes!

So yesterday was my 25th birthday. I had a fabulous weekend and couldn't be luckier to have such wonderful family and friends to make me feel so very special on a day when I really thought I'd have a crisis. I kinda did, but it wasn't as monumental as I would have thought (more about this in tomorrow's post).

Anyway, yesterday was pretty low-key after going out the night before (pardon the slight rough-looking Nicole in these photos. No sleep + day 2 of drybar blowout). Part of it was spent with my wonderful cousin Melissa who lives a few blocks from me and her amazing dog, Baxter. Our favorite pastime is taking Baxter on walks throughout the city so part of my birthday was doing just that. It was a beautiful day and on our way back from the river we stopped and did a little photoshoot. I have to say, my favorite part about these photos are my prop Baxter. He's a wonderful model.

So yay or nay on these little photoshoots? Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

Insta-Pretty Outfits

So...sometimes I take pictures of my outfits....and post them on Instagram. May be lame (oh well), but it's kinda fun.

Spring is FINALLY here in NYC this week, and with that comes my renewed shopping obsession. With a new season just comes this feeling that I need all new and pretty things! I will be trying not to indulge in these feelings so instead I do a lot of browsing. Lately, I've been obsessing over accessories... specifically shoes and sunglasses. 

I've never been a huge sunglasses fan but, alas things change. Above are the ones I have my eyes on lately. What do you think...any favorites? What are you loving this spring season?
