Weekend Snapshots.

Sometimes you just need to buy yourself bright flowers. Men, take note. I like tulips.
Some new beauty splurges with my Birchbox points. Already obsessed with that eyeko eyeliner.
Gorgeous array of spices while exploring Chelsea Market.
I found the start of Spring on the Highline!
Sunday afternoon spent with a favorite friend drinking coffee, exchanging books and talking blogs.
Kindred spirits. Everyone should check out this lovely lady's blog as well.
Willing it to be spring with a favorite bright necklace.

Just some random snapshots from this past weekend. It was a busy, but wonderful one spent exploring the city, eating lots of food with family in town, seeing an amazing Broadway show, Once, baking cupcakes, and chatting with friends.

Here's to hoping this week goes fast so we can all get to the weekend again!

Monday Inspiration.

{Via}

Hey Monday. Man, you come so quick and are kind of brutal. Especially when I wake up and it's really, really dark out.

Basically sometimes on a Monday you just need to wear something SUPER bright and get the day started. I absolutely love this outfit by one of my favorite bloggers, Blair. Neon full skirt + black & white stripes = perfection.

Get in my closet please.

Have a wonderful day!

Women Who Inspire

Hey Friends! Happy International Women's Day! I was invited by Birchbox along with a few other bloggers to pin to their #WomenWhoInspire board on Pinterest. They teamed up with Elizabeth Arden to create this board and there's some awesome inspirational quotes by amazing women. It's genuinely a great collection of women that inspire for all different reasons.

Feel free to check out the board and help spread the message of empowering women by re-pinning from the board.

To all the ladies out there that read this blog, I love you and appreciate you, and you are all amazing in your own unique ways. Happy International Women's Day again!

February Glam Bag

So this is REALLY late. This is my February Glam Bag that I got pretty much...3 weeks ago. I took the pictures immediately and the post has just been sitting here. I planned on doing a video, but honestly I look so ragged everyday when I come home from work that I didn't want to subject anyone to that. So this is what you get, sorry folks.

Anyway about this bag, it was prettyyyy awesome this month. I mean mascara, primer, eyeliner and eyeshadow? I'll be using pretty much EVERYTHING in this bag. I've also never tried any of these products before so they're all new to me! I definitely wasn't disappointed (though the actual bag was just a plain, black makeup bag).

So that brings me to the news. It saddens me to say I've cancelled both my Glam Bag and Birchbox subscriptions. I've really enjoyed both of them (and am still a huge Birchbox fan especially), but I'm trying this new thing called "saving" and attempting to get my finances on track, and it's getting pretty extreme in my world.  I've even cut my cable...for anyone that knows me, knows I'm pretty much devastated.

Alas, that's the (un)glamorous life of being 24 in Manhattan.

In the meantime I still have a bunch of beauty treats to share on this blog that I purchased before I cut myself off , so no worries!

Pretty Moments

I think this is the definition of a perfect Sunday morning for me.
Fresh air + some camera play
Sparkly baubles always make me happy
I couldn't resist this cute little guy.

Sometimes I find myself getting into funks. Actually, a lot of times I do. This week was definitely one of those weeks. Between the super lousy weather, lack of sun and ridiculously long work week, I found myself wanting to hunker down in my bedroom this weekend and never leave. Saturday I did just that, but Sunday I forced myself to remember some of the simple things in life that I like. Sometimes all it takes to make the days at least a tad bit better are some carbs and caffeine, fresh air, picture-taking  and finding the cute things that you own that make you smile.

Here's to hoping this week goes faster than the last!

BaubleBar Unwrapped

Ok friends, ready for my next obsession?!

Good.

So along the same lines of Warby Parker and Birchbox, another NYC startup that I absolutely LOVE is Baublebar. When you're as social media obsessed as I am, the companies that do an awesome job with it really stand out and get your attention. Plus, they sell lots of sparkly things so it's kind of like a no-brainer here.

Really though folks, Baublebar is crazy awesome. I've been ordering pretty things from them for about the last year, and my stash has officially grown two fold. They have the cutest jewelry that is RIGHT in my budget. I can't get enough.

Beyond following them like a stalker on their FB, Twitter, Instagram and blog (when my friends say I'm addicted to my iPhone, it's no joke),  I'm also hooked to Baublebar because they have such great deals. Their main one being every Friday when they email you a clue, and something on their site is 10 bucks if you find it. I could keep going, but I'm already babbling.

So another super cool thing they've done recently is open up a pop-up store, BaubleBar Unwrapped. I of course ventured there to check out the jewels and spend some money. It's adorable, hot pink everywhere and fun decorations. They also give you some free goodies for visiting, so really there's no reason not to go if you're in NYC.

Ok, now that I have AGAIN become an unofficial PR rep for another company( my CEO called me out on my abnormal brand loyalty the other day. Seriously, when I like something, I REALLY like it. Marketers dream over here).

You should check out Baublebar

p.s. this was my new cameras first outing! Whatdya think?
