Sweater: H&M (old, but this is cute!) // Leather skirt: NY&CO (old, but similar) // Black booties (also old, similar) // Love ring: BaubleBar

So, it's been a while since I've posted because honestly, I've been hibernating. These pics were taken on my apartment terrace before the freaking winter blast took over where snow and ridiculous temps have been knocking NYC for weeks. There was a beautiful weekend day when it was still lovely enough to spend time outside without hating your life (I can't wait to experience that again this weekend...yay 50 degrees!).

I've had this leather skirt for a while now and I wanted to play down the edginess and make it a little more casual with one of my favorite comfy winter sweaters. Not gonna lie, I'm loving the leather trends at the moment and hope they stay for a while. Makes me feel kinda awesome.

Any leather fans out there?

Pink Checks and Cute Dogs.

Shorts: New York & Company. Tshirt: Gap. Shoes: Sperry. Necklace: Baublebar.(no longer available but love this.)

Hey there! So my sporadic posting continues. BUT, I'm back with another one!

This past Memorial Day weekend was quite the boring one for me. Turns out, always listen to your parents because they're always right. They told me I should go home upstate and hang out, but of course I didn't listen. Instead I watched a LOT of old ER episodes online and cleaned my apartment because it really is true that EVERYONE leaves the city on holiday weekends. Like, everyone.

Luckily, my amazing cousin and blog photographer lately came back on Monday (just in time for BACHELORETTE night. All I need is wine and that show and my night is made. Seriously). So we took our favorite furry friend, Baxter, for a walk and little photoshoot before our girly festivities. He really is the best photoshoot prop isn't he?

Oh also, Gap has such cute tshirts right now. I'm loving this hot pink checked one for the summer!

Turning 25.

Sweatshirt: Old navy, Pants: H&M (last spring), Sunglasses: RayBan, Shoes: Urban Outfitters.

Hi friends! Sorry for the prolonged absence once again, but I come to you with an outfit post!

I've been hesitant to do one of these because well, it's kinda weird thinking "hey, I like my outfit, I'm sure my 5 readers want to see it too!". But, I'm trying to follow the "why not?" mantra this year so here goes!

So yesterday was my 25th birthday. I had a fabulous weekend and couldn't be luckier to have such wonderful family and friends to make me feel so very special on a day when I really thought I'd have a crisis. I kinda did, but it wasn't as monumental as I would have thought (more about this in tomorrow's post).

Anyway, yesterday was pretty low-key after going out the night before (pardon the slight rough-looking Nicole in these photos. No sleep + day 2 of drybar blowout). Part of it was spent with my wonderful cousin Melissa who lives a few blocks from me and her amazing dog, Baxter. Our favorite pastime is taking Baxter on walks throughout the city so part of my birthday was doing just that. It was a beautiful day and on our way back from the river we stopped and did a little photoshoot. I have to say, my favorite part about these photos are my prop Baxter. He's a wonderful model.

So yay or nay on these little photoshoots? Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

Insta-Pretty Outfits

So...sometimes I take pictures of my outfits....and post them on Instagram. May be lame (oh well), but it's kinda fun.

Anyway, here are some of the latest ones I've posted.

A.) Please don't judge the mess of a room behind me in these pics. Long hours = bedroom is only clean on the weekends...sometimes.

B.) I need a better bedroom mirror.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Fourth of July

My brothers wanted in on the photo-taking.

Jumper: Can't remember! Shoes: UO. Bangles: Walmart. Beaded bracelet: NY & Company.

I know I'm a tad late with posting this outfit from the 4th of July. These last few weeks have been crazy busy (I know that's no excuse, but you'll see in some upcoming posts what I mean!).  Anyway, this was what I wore on the 4th before I headed to a family pool party and BBQ. I'm always one to get festive with my clothes on holidays, and must wear appropriate colors! Also, these shoes were an impulse purchase a few months ago but they've been one of my go-to pairs this summer (and they obviously complete my red-white-and blue).

Outfit Post: This is Me.

Striped top and Coral button-up: Walmart. Skirt: H&M. Shoes: Payless. Bracelet: NY&Company. Necklace: I can't remember (Very old).

A few things:
1.) I love this outfit. It's what I like to call a very "Nicole" outfit. The striped top, the turquoise and the coral together. Just love it.
2.) You might laugh or look down on me...but both of these shirts are from Walmart. YUP, good ole Wally's World. I don't normally shop at Walmart for clothes, but I was passing through a few weeks ago and this coral top caught my eye...and it was $12 (SOLD). Then I saw this striped shirt, and it was only $6 (SOLD again). So basically, I don't discriminate. Sure I like nice things, but honestly I could care less what the label on my clothes says as long as I like it. (Plus I'm a poor 23 year-old trying to move into NYC. The cheaper the better).
3.) Sorry for the poor picture quality. I have no idea why they're so blurry.
4.) Apparently I need some new picture poses that don't involve me looking DOWN (woops)

That's all for now! Happy Monday!

Outfit Post: Giving It a Go

Skirt: Forever21. Tope: NY&Company. Shoes: Boscovs

What to wear to work when the humidity is about 98.76445%? Something as loose and comfy as possible. That's how this outfit appeared.  (Well, and I can't resist wearing new clothes as soon as I buy them...)

I'm working on this whole "take my own outfit posts" thing. Not too sure how I feel about it...or if anyone really cares for that matter. Also, my background is rather boring I know. Perhaps if I decide that taking pictures of my outfits is worth it...I'll grow the kahunas to do it in public. We shall see :)
